Volunteering at The Village Café Community Hub

The café wouldn’t exist without our wonderful team of volunteers. All of our baking is provided by volunteers. They bake for us throughout the week and bring their treats into the café for our customers to enjoy. This can be one cake or traybake a week or multiple bakes throughout the week.

The café wouldn’t run without the volunteers supporting our manager and assistant manager in the daily running of the café. Our café volunteers come in for two hour slots throughout the day and take orders, prepare hot/cold drinks, serve sweet treats and food, clear tables and wash dishes. They enjoy the sense of community in the café and speaking to customers, sharing stories and giving recommendations for the local area when tourists visit.
